Areteem Summer 2021 Onsite STEAM Camp

Areteem offers hands-on STEAM programs to engage students from elementary school into fun projects that bring out their creativity and motivate them to build connections of the knowledge they learn.

The Summer 2021 Onsite STEAM Camp will run for 3 weeks, July 26th - August 13th, at Areteem Intelligence Planet Orange County. The camp will run from 9am to 4pm Pacific Time each day, with an hour break for lunch from 12pm to 1pm.

STEAM Topic Descriptions

  • English Writing gives students a chance to practice their writing and improve with tips for grammar, structure, and organization. Students practice writing and reviewing materials throughout the week.
  • Fun Coding with Scratch introduces students to the world of programming with MIT's block-based visual programming language Scratch. Students create their own projects and learn the basics of programming along the way.
  • Web Design and Publishing introduces students to the world wide web and building their own webpage. Students learn the various components of a webpage and how to organize a site for different purposes.

Students can register for 1, 2, or all 3 weeks.

To register, pay the tuition for the corresponding number of weeks. Once payment is complete, fill in the questionnaire to pick the topics/dates you wish to attend.

Summer 2021 Onsite STEAM Camp

The Summer 2021 Onsite STEAM Camp will run for 3 weeks, July 26th - August 13th, at Areteem Intelligence Planet Orange County. The camp is open for upper elementary school students, grades 3-6. The camp will run from 9am to 4pm Pacific Time each day, with an hour break for lunch from 12pm to 1pm. (Students must bring their own lunch.)

  • Mornings will cover fundamental math at the upper elementary school level (our Fun Math curriculum). Students will practice their math skills and learn new problem solving techniques.
  • Afternoon Sessions will run from 1pm to 4pm Pacific Time. They will cover STEAM topics.
  • Students may register for individual weeks, but we recommend students attend all three weeks

For elementary school students (grades 3 - 6)

Week 1 (7/26 - 7/30)

Morning: Word Problems, Afternoon: English Writing: Creative Stories

Week 2 (8/2 - 8/6)

Morning: Geometric Reasoning, Afternoon: Fun Coding with Scratch: Animations and Stories

Week 3 (8/9 - 8/13)

Morning: Numbers and Number Sense, Afternoon: Web Design and Publishing: Building a Descriptive Webpage
